I work with textile techniques. Thirty years ago I went to Japan to study. This trip was very important for me, among other things, I discovered Shibori. 30 years later, participants of Shibori courses at Konstfack have formed the  Swedish Shibory Society.

My interest in this old and multifaceted technique came naturally, I come from a family of strong women interested in textiles. This influence made me choose to study at textiles at Konstfack. An important person for at this time was Kaisa Melanton.

I am part of a small group within the Swedish Shibori Society that have been invited to showcase our interpretation of Shibori in its country of origin, Japan, in october 2013.
